My son likes it.
I bought this as a birthday gift for my 21-year-old rabid fly-fishing son, and he is quite pleased with it. It was larger than he thought it would be, but says it will work well for all of his hike-in fishing.

The main compartment can be accessed two ways - via the top loading lid or the U-shaped side entry for quick entry into the pack so you don't have to dig through the top to get to what you're looking for. The Simms Freestone Backpack is lightweight and reliable with 330-denier nylon ripstop fabric with a water repellent coating that is highly durable and tear-resistant.
Another quality feature of the Simms Freestone Backpack is the padded, breathable and fully-adjustable harness system that features a loop patch for fly storage and tool docking station. Tool ports are found on the straps as well as a small fly patch. The Simms Freestone Backpack integrates with the Freestone Chest Pack.
