For years, we’d been searching for a synthetic insulation that met our performance standards for trusted technical pieces like the Patagonia Men's Nano Puff® Jacket and also did better by the environment. Our partners at PrimaLoft have put an end to that search. Introducing PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco. It’s lightweight, compressible and warm even when wet—and now has 55% recycled content with zero loss in performance. This year alone, we’ll divert more than 2 million plastic bottles from the landfill.
It’s not easy to lighten the environmental impact of a trusted technical piece like the men's Patagonia Nano Puff®Jacket without sacrificing performance, but we never stop trying. That’s why we challenged our partners at PrimaLoft to develop the new PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco: a 55% recycled polyester insulation with 100% performance. Using this fill in our Nano Puff styles will save more than 2 million plastic bottles from the landfill in the first year alone. And beginning in 2017, PrimaLoft will replace all of its Gold Insulation, anywhere it’s used, with the new 55% recycled Gold Eco. When companies come together to compound benefits to the environment, everybody wins.

The Nano Puff Jacket is great for traveling as it packs down and also makes a great pillow on airplane rides, cars, etc. The Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket is the type of jacket you need to have a couple of because you will find yourself wearing this jacket all the time and will need to wash one of them eventually.

- The most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available now with 55% post-consumer recycled content, 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco is water-repellent, highly compressible and maintains 98% of warmth, even when wet
- Brick quilting pattern with horizontal quilt lines on side panels stabilizes insulation and uses durable thread for abrasion resistance
- Center-front zipper has wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
- Two zippered handwarmer pockets have cleanly finished zipper garages; zippered internal chest pocket doubles as a stuffsack with a reinforced carabiner clip-in loop
- Drawcord-adjustable drop-tail hem seals in warmth
- Shell and lining: 1.4-oz 22-denier 100% recycled polyester with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Insulation: 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco 100% polyester (55% post-consumer recycled content). Fabric is bluesign® approved

This season the zippers on all Nano Puff® styles are made from 52-62% recycled polyester.

Since 2014, we’ve used 85% recycled polyester content in the woven Patagonia labels that appear on our Nano Puff®garments.

Good product GREAT Service
The jacket is excellent for cool/chilly damp situations. Light and very packable. You can get the jacket many places but the service I received from Platte River was outstanding.

Warm, light weight, and stylish.
This jacket is everything I needed. It is extremely light weight yet incredibly warm. In fact, it's often so warm I only need to wear a t- shirt underneath and not multiple layers. It's also firm fitting and looks great. It's honestly the best travel jacket because it folds down to a small and compact size that doesn't take up much space in a carry-on bag and adds no weight to your limit capacity. It also looks cool and the added water resistance makes it great if you encounter some rain.

Great Gift!
I purchased this jacket as a gift for a friend and he can't stop raving about it. He said it is his new favorite jacket. Platte was wonderful and easy to work with. Great product. Excellent company.

Great Jacket
Wanted something light and hip length. With some insulation for added warmth, I think it will be perfect for spring-like ski days.

Good Jacket
Haven't had a chance to use it much, but don't anticipate any issues. Fit is great and light weight, no sensation of wind getting though the jacket. Haven't had a chance to verify level of DWR One observation though is that the sleeve cuff is simply elastic and not adjustable. I would have expected to have either an internal sleeve or some means to tighten the cuff. My Columbia liner for the tri-climate ski jack, which is what I'm replacing with this jacket, has such a feature.

Great!
Bought this jacket for my boyfriend, and he absolutely loved it! The jacket itself is great for outdoor wear in multiple climates, and as a mid-layer under rain shields! It was the great Patagonia quality we expected, however, the particular color I wanted was only available at Platte River. Shipping was quick and efficient, and absolutely no complaints.

I brought it for me, but it was a bit smaller than expected, but overall it is great quality. I would upsize one size if ordering this jacket again.
