With a removable hood and water repellent finish, the new Patagonia Men's Topley Jacket is the Wanaka Down Jacket replacement.  Just as awesome as the Wanaka jacket, the Topley is sure to top the charts in warmth, comfort and fashion.

100% recycled down from duck and goose down that has been reclaimed from down products fills this Topley jacket with insulation to keep you warm in any inclement weather.  The Patagonia Topley Jacket has a regular fit.

To get around town in the cold and wet weather of Minneapolis, many people choose a yellow taxi. We prefer to see the sights from inside the warmth of our Topley Jacket. Insulated for the coldest conditions, this jacket has an urban-friendly design and an H2No® Performance Standard 2-layer 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell with a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish for storm protection in any weather. Insulated with 700-fill-power Recycled Down reclaimed from duck and goose down products, it wraps you in compressible warmth and keeps your psych high as the temperature drops low. The 2-way-adjustable, removable hood is insulated for warmth and comes with a laminated visor to protect your face while preserving visibility. The center-front zipper features external and interior storm flaps that create a zipper garage at the chin, and the neck is lined with soft microfleece. It has handwarmer pockets lined with brushed jersey fabric, two top-entry pockets with flaps and a chest pocket with a waterproof zipper (and headphone compatibility). A dual-adjust drawcord hem seals out cold air and gloomy weather. Hip length with drop-tail hem.

Excellent winter jacket

Review by Serge on 4/23/2019

This is the best jacket I've ever bought: windproof, waterproof, water-repellent, goose-down insulation, and stylish when I remove the hood. Besides been the warmest jacket I've ever own (possibly it can be worn at 30 Fahrenheit or 0 Celsius with only a t-shirt), it is also very comfortable, and not puffy at all, which I like a lot because I don't like to look like an Eskimo during the winter. I recommend this high quality jacket!

Warm, comfortable, WFF is an absolutely great place to order online from too!

Like most people I’ve gotten too lazy to order off anything but amazon. WFF I wish I would have found sooner though! Prices are the best online and this coat is so warm and it will last many seasons. Thank you!

High Quality Jacket & Very Warm

Review by Jesse on 12/15/2017

Pros (as compared to Columbia’s 3-in1 Bugaboo): It’s thinner and lighter while also being warmer. The Columbia jacket’s exterior would attract and keep (pet) hair while the Patagonia’s has remained completely clean. The Topley’s neck rest area is padded and soft and noticeably more comfortably than my Bugaboo’s. Cons: The only real place where the Topley loses to my previous Columbia is the cuff tightening straps. This jacket only has two snaps and having the first one snapped is the same size-wise as not having anything snapped at all. There no way that, if you have thick gloves on, you would be able to work the snaps at all. Plus, with my gloves on, I can’t get the strap to even reach the second snap; there is no stretch or give to it. Columbia has them beat hands down (pun alert) with the stretchy cuffs and ample, custom fit, easy-to-use Velcro. Also, the external and, particularly, the internal breast pockets are not large. A large phone or tablet, I don’t think, would fully fit.

Quality and Care

Review by Leonard on 12/10/2017

This is the warmest jacket I've ever owned for the weight and size. For myself, I won't need any layering other than a t-shirt over 0 degrees. It came thinner than I expected, but is exceedingly toasty. It blocks the wind perfectly, and water beads right off. Outer shell is tough and rugged. Build quality is excellent, and I expect this jacket to last me many years. Three minor complaints: 1. Arms could be padded a little more, as the ONLY heat loss I've noticed come from the arms, but this is not major. 2. Hand pockets are not nearly insulated enough. You will require gloves on very cold days. 3. The drawstring on the hood is practically useless, but the regular fit of the hood and visor practically makes this a moot point anyway. The customer service of Platte River Fly Shop has been second to none! I needed an exchange for a larger size, and they couldn't have been more helpful or quick on the turnaround. My experience here has made me a loyal customer for any products they offer.
