The Simms G4 Pro Fly-Fishing Boot is a feature-rich Simms fly-fishing boot that is designed with a Vibram Idrogrip rubber perimeter with 12mm felt in the middle, dual density eva midsole for shock absorption and ESS plates in the midsole for superior cleat retention. Locking grommets for the laces make tying these boots easier. The G4 Pro boot comes with a molded external TPU heel counter and heel clip for maxiumum ankle support. Simms G4 Wading boots
Wore them for 1st time this week. Hiked two miles up an Arizona mountain to fly fish. Boots have a very solid sole. Great arch support. Roomy in the toes to wiggle toes to keep them warm. Great in the water. No slipping, but I was not on serious slippery algae. Grip jumping from rock to rock solid. Boot have strong toe area. Boots pretty stiff lacing them up the first time, but after they were wet for a few hours, I could tighten them better. Very easy to put foot in and out of these Simms G4 boots. With a wet felt sole the boots picked up a lot of Arizona dirt on the trail down. Once the soles dried a bit, dirt came off. Feet felt good all day. These boots are a bit heavier than Korker.
