COMMENTS

4-18-13 Upper section still clear but muddy in the lower sections. Leeches, annelids, scuds, midges, and egg paterns working best. Baetis hatch is started so have some patterns for the as well.

4-13-2014 Spring snow storm came in all day Sunday....expecting muddy conditions if things melt quickly

 4-7-2014

The fishing below grey reef has been great and this week promises some warmer temps.  The bugs of choice have been,  black and brown bionic midges,  Halo midges, black and brown barbwire midges.  The pine squirrel leech has been taking a lot bigger fish so has the old San Juan worm in red and purple.  The rock worm has been working well as well as egg patterns and scuds in pink and olive.  There is a lot of fish in the fast water runs, put on some extra weight and try to get down right in the fast water of the deep runs.  Watch out for the spawning fish, there are a lot of fish on the shallow gravel right now so please respect their privacy.  All in all, great weather and great fishing is what I have to report so get out there!
