Description

We’ve given down jackets a one-way ticket out of the woods. The Downtown Loft has a satin polyester shell with elegant, contoured quilting lines. Treated with DWR (durable water repellent) finish, the shell is insulated with Traceable Down (third-party-verified, non-live-plucked, non-force-fed) 600-fill-power duck down. The articulated hood stows stealthily into a shawl collar with hidden zip closure. The full-length front zip has a wind flap; the zippered on-seam handwarmer pockets and interior chest pocket stash must-haves. Length falls at the hip.

Warm, moveable and humane!
This coat is super warm and not tight/binding. The oxblood is slightly more purple than I thought but still mostly rust colored. I bought the pebble grey one too. It is very light colored, almost silvery. For size reference: I am 5'7", 125 lbs. and bought a small. Fits perfect, not too tight, not too loose and the sleeves are long enough! But the best part of Patagonia down is that it is 100% humanely sourced third-party tested. If you know anything about how down is harvested, and have even a shred of decency in you, it will make you want to vomit. Google it. But Patagonia uses all after-market (not live plucked, not force fed) down. I will always buy their products first because of that.
