Description

Patagonia Vest Front Sling Pack

Can't decide between a traditional fishing vest and sling pack? Neither could we. So we combined the two for a best-of-both-worlds solution. Our new Vest Front Sling features our vertical-pocket vest configuration on one side, with a larger storage pack (like our Stealth Atom Sling) on the other. Access to either is simple; just swing the side you want around to the front without having to take it off. External nylon utility keeper provides secure attachment point for zingers while a selection of easy-access pockets keeps the stuff you need handy. Inside, there's a range of organizing pockets, a 100% waterproof, welded security pouch and enough room for lunch, jacket and extra fly boxes.

Great pack
Picked this up after fishing all week in Colorado with my old Cabela's vest. Most of the time the vest was on the bank since it was so intrusive to my casting and comfort. I've read a ton of articles on sling packs and found this one to fit the bill. I'd say after trying it on and casting my little indoor practice rod, I won't have any issues with the front pockets over my right side. Many reviewers commented on this and rightly so. I'd like to see Patagonia make a left shoulder version down the road. The front pockets, along with the fly pad will hold virtually everything you need for a day out. That leaves the entire backpack to hold lunch, camera, additional reel (to go along with the rod tube holder) plus the waterproof pocket for keys and cell phone. Straps are very ample in size as I'm not a small person, so even with waders and/or jacket, this should fit most people well. All that for $89, free shipping from Platte River and you honestly can't beat it for an everyday pack
